| I have sent of my application form but heard nothing |
Your membership pack will go out in the post with the entry forms either in late January or early February. If you have not received it contact us after 15th February. |
| Is everything for the series now confirmed? |
Yes, all dates are still provisional and may be subject to a late change. This is down to the circuits but we should have contracts from them before Christmas 2007. Any changes in our calendar will be notified as soon as we can |
| How do I join the club and enter the races? |
Complete the membership application form and send it to us with a cheque payable to Hottrax Motorsport Racing Club Ltd and NOT HMRC. You may also pay but credit or debit card, there is a 3% charge for this.
Once we receive the form and the payment you will receive a club membership card in due course with your membership number which you will need to bring to the races. The cards will contain a membership number which is valid for 2008. Please use this number in all correspondence. Cards will not go out until January 2008
When you receive the entry form you should complete it and send your payment as soon as you can and before the closing date of the event to guarantee your place. We do have limited space on the grid for Endurance. |
| Am I guaranteed a place on the grid? |
Registered teams will receive priority and are guaranteed a place on the grid at each event as long as the entry forms and payment are received before the closing date on the entry form. After the closing date places will be allocated on a first come, first served basis. |
| Is there and end of year prize giving? |
Yes we will be organizing a bit of a bash at the end of the year. This will be a dinner followed by a presentation of trophies. |
| Do I have to pay the £250 registration fee? |
No you don't have to pay this if you don't want to. This fee is fully refundable at the end of the year if you have entered all of the rounds and it will guarantee your place on the grid at every round if you want it. If you miss a round money is deducted from the registration fee and you will receive less at at the end of the year. Details are on the membership application form.
The fee only guarantees your place as long as your entry is received before the closing date of the event. Entry fees still apply. |
| Is the registration fee for both the Junior and National Championships? |
Yes there is a separate registration fee for both championships. If you are entering both you will need to pay twice. |
| Will I need to provide a marshal? |
Yes all teams must provide a team marshal to allow us to race. Junior, Senior and National teams must provide a marshal, The Junior teams marshall will only be required to help during practice, qualifying and racing for the Junior races but the Senior and National marshals are required for the full term of the event and over both days if required. |
| What if I cant provide a marshal? |
It is a condition of entry that you supply an able bodied marshal. Training is given and it is not always corner marshals we need. Other duties can include pit lane, recovery, admin etc. Allocations are given out on the day.
We are a new club and are working on this aspect but we are not there yet, if you cant provide a marshal you cannot race with us in 2008. |
